It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, sister, kokum, aunt and partner. Surrounded by family, Pat was called home to the spirit world after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Pat was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Edwin and Margaret Nokusis; mother and stepfather Florence and Bob Pelletier; her brother Robert; one daughter Dori; her grandson Jace; her father Norman Belanger; two brothers Vern Belanger and Alan Terry; sister Darlene Belanger and her best friend Donna Delorme. Pat leaves to mourn her passing her partner Chester Arnold; her daughters: Stacey, Dana and Michelle; Pat’s chosen children: Heidi, Andrea, Owen and Haley; her step children Lisa and Mitchell; her brothers: Gaylord (Lynda), Vernon (Shelbi), Ray Leibel and Rod Belanger; her sisters: Noella (George), Leona (Chuck), Shirley (Billy Bob), Lillian (Doug), Debbie, Audrey (Dennis), Glenda (Dwayne), Charlotte Pelletier, Myrna Belanger, Beverly Gillard, Rhonda Belanger and Terry Coffey and numerous nieces, nephews. grandchildren and great grandchildren; special friends Sharon (Wayne) and many other friends and relatives too numerous to mention. The wake will be held in the Marieval Hall, Cowessess First Nation Sunday evening at 4:00. The funeral service will be held in the Marieval Hall, Cowessess First Nation on Monday, November 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Band Elders officiating and cremation to follow. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Doctors and staff of the Broadview Union Hospital for their compassion and care towards Pat and her family.
