Raymond Roy Taylor

Raymond was born at home near Corning, SK on February 13, 1940. He was the second of four children born to Roy and Theresa Taylor.

Raymond went to school in the Grenfell area until he started working for a farmer in 1956. Raymond met the love of his life Geraldine Haines in 1956 and they were married on December 16, 1957. Together they welcomed two children Charlotte and Kelly.

In the early years Raymond farmed and then drove semi for many years and was awarded many safe driving awards. After he retired he went back to his love of farming, working for a local farmer and volunteering in Grenfell at various organizations.

Raymond was predeceased by his parents Roy and Theresa Taylor; father and mother-in-law George and Elsie Haines; sister Diana Babyak and son-in-law Don Owens.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Geraldine; daughter Charlotte; son Kelly (Deb); grandson Joel (Alyssa) and great-grandchildren London and Emilia. Raymond is also survived by his brother Robert (Heather) and sister Irene Sparrow, and his nieces and nephews.

There was a graveside interment on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Summerberry Cemetery with Kelly Taylor officiating.
