RITA WHALEN February 25, 1921 - June 29, 2012 With much love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the death of our Mom, Rita Whalen of Qu'Appelle and late of Echo Lodge, Fort Qu'Appelle, on Friday, June 29, 2012. Rita was predeceased by her husband Riley in 1999, her parents Dalma and Olympe Isabelle, six brothers and two sisters and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her two children, Tom (Glenda) Whalen, Qu'Appelle and Teresa (Tim) Lux, Regina; her three much loved grandsons, Nikolas and Travis Whalen and Tommy Lux; one dear sister Florence Cheney, Regina; life- long friend and beloved sister-in-law, Eleanor Isabelle, Fort Qu'Appelle; special niece Marie (John) Lebersback and family, Regina and numerous other nieces and nephews and their families. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Qu'Appelle, SK. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ronald Andree presiding. If desired donations may be made to Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Qu'Appelle or to Echo Lodge Fort Qu'Appelle. Rita's family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff of Echo Lodge for the wonderful home and loving care which you gave to Mom over the past seven years. Your kindness and compassion will always be gratefully remembered.
