Robert (Bob, Bobby) Mathew Marinier was born Nov 2, 1944 to Donat and Mary (Lenius) Marinier in Regina, SK. He passed away peacefully on May 12, 2019 at the Regina General Hospital with his children by his side.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, infant daughter Kathryn, brother Bill Marinier, and sister Carol (Jack) Mathieson.

He is survived by his daughter Keli (Aaron) Ziolkoski, with grandchildren Tyson, Jack, and Blake; daughter Kim (Ernie) Mason, with granddaughter Autumn; son Kyle (Lani) Marinier, with granddaughters Delaney, Brynn, and Ezra; daughter Kara (James) MacGregor, with grandsons Christopher, Scotty, and Connor; son Kevin (Brenna) Marinier, with grandchildren Liam and Brielle; sisters Angie Lenius and Margaret (Ron) Bashnik, brother-in-law Jack Mathieson, sister-in-law Shirley Marinier, and lifelong friend Dave Slater, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob cared deeply about his family, and always showed kindness to others. He worked 30 years with the Department of Highways in Saskatoon, and in 2005, he moved closer to his sisters living in Fort Qu’Appelle, where he enjoyed his retirement years. He loved working in his yard and often could be found sitting at his outdoor firepit with family and friends. Bob loved to talk and joke, always having a story to tell. Mostly though he talked of his children and grandchildren and how proud he was of all their accomplishments.

At Bob’s request, there will be no funeral held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Salvation Army in memory of Bob.

Dad you were an amazing man. I keep picking up the phone to call you and then realize your not there. My heart hurts so much and I wish I could just have one more day with you, sitting at your fir-pit drinking a cold beer. I hope you and carol are up there having a party right now with Bill. All of you causing shenanigan like you did when you were kids. Love you dad.
