Shannon Joy Haus peacefully passed away on May 8, 2021 at the age of 62 following a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born on August 16, 1958 in Kipling, Saskatchewan. Shannon was married to her high school sweetheart Robert Haus on February 12, 1977.

Shannon was a joyful spirit who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She was an eternal optimist that always sought out the best of any situation and she encouraged those around her to do the same. She was an avid gardener which was helpful in feeding her large, growing family. She was a hard worker and tirelessly worked on their farm tending to their animals, the yard and making meals for the family. Shannon enjoyed the company of her many friends and family. Granny Shanny also loved to hear the noise of her 22 grandchildren. She was an active member of the church and she enjoyed her time with the United Church Women (UCW) and all her secret pals.

Shannon's early working years saw her serve the community by working at a long term care home in Regina, where she made long lasting friends. She also worked as a school bus driver for several years.

Shannon was predeceased by her father Ernie Hazell; brother Daniel Hazell; brother-in-law Richard Rydzik and nephew Katlin Haus.

Sincere condolences to the Haus and Hazel families.
Shannon was one of a kind. Always smiling, happy to welcome you into her home, a hard working mother that instilled the same practices in her family. She was a great neighbour for a number of years and thus I have many memories. She will be watching down on those she dearly loved and will always be with them when they gather to share memories and remember the good times.
RIP Dear Lady. Hugs to everyone

Shanon is a beautiful soul. She dedicated herself fully to any project she put her mind to and I admired her for her tenacity. The Glenavon community was blessed to have her and now heaven is a richer place with her in it.
Love to her family, friends and community,

Our deepest condolences but one of fond memories of Shannon to the Hazel and Haus families. I truly cannot think of a stronger, more resilient young woman whom ‘never gave up’. Shannon you have shown not only your family but the rest of us how to rise above challenges and live your life with Joy... your parents named you well. I know mom will be waiting for you with a smile on her face as she loved you dearly. May you find comfort and peace in your now forever home. 🙏😍
