DOB April 1st, 1970: Passed Away – November 26th, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful Sheina “Sweetie” Yvonne Delorme.
Sheina was predeceased by her maternal mother Eunice Assiniboine; grandparents Frank and Alice Assiniboine and her paternal grandparents William (John) and Yvonne Delorme.
Sheina survived by the love of her life Patrick (Patty) O’Neil; her daughter Shakira Stronach; her parents Elwin and Carol Delorme; her adopted son Boston Bear; siblings: Tamara (Mike) Delorme, Martina Delorme, William Delorme, Cory (Sunshine) Delorme, Colin (Anna) Delorme, Clinton (Deanna) Delorme, Meagan Delorme, IvyLynn (Brian) Bear and Chasity (Casey) Delorme; special friend Donna Bear-Montes, Marilyn (B.C); Auntie Lillian (Lloyd) Lerat and special aunties uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Sheina was a beautiful free spirit and found her path in life in British Columbia where she continued her education as an entrepreneur as an Event Planner. Later she continued her education in work safety and became a contractor for various companies in British Columbia. She met and fell in love with Patrick O’Neil who became her fiancé her future and the love of her life. She never lost her love for her home in Saskatchewan as well as continuing to fight for First Nations and recognition of Indigenous social justice issues. Sheina had a great love for everyone and loved people of all races, cultures, and backgrounds. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to send our appreciation and thank you to Joan Delorme and her friends who cared for her during her last days and while she started her beautiful journey.
The wake was held in the Cowessess Community Hall, Cowessess First Nation on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. A celebration of Sheina’s life was held in Cowessess Community Hall on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Elder Allan Delorme officiating. Scattering of cremated remains at places she loved.
