It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Glass, 89 years of Indian Head on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Terry’s parents immigrated from Austria- Hungary, pioneered the prairie, raised a happy family, worked hard and enjoyed life. She moved to Toronto during the war years and when she returned in 1948 she met Mike and they were married a year later. Terry was a women of faith and family. Her greatest satisfaction came from watching their children and grandchildren grow, family life gardening and music. She enjoyer taking carloads of kids to swimming and dance lessons, hockey practice and games. She participated in many aspects of the community: Legion Auxiliary, Recreation Board, Catholic Women’s League, the Tourist Information Booth and delivering Meals on Wheels. She worked in the family business for many years. Terry had a strong work ethic, a feisty spirit, and loved to laugh. She was quick witted, practical and always ready to lend a helping hand. She was always interested in current affairs, and enjoyed archiving historical information. She loved to play bridge and will be forever remembered for her wonderful cooking and oh those pies. Predeceased by her husband Mike of 59 years of marriage in 2008, her father and mother Dominic and Margaret Erhart, brothers, Dominic, Dan, Peter, Tom and sisters, Mary, Kate, Beth and Eva, her memory will be cherished by children: Jenny MacFarlane (Don), Rosanne (Joe), Tim (Rhoda) and Ken (Esther), numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews and brother Max Erhart, Burnaby, B.C. The funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Indian Head, SK. on Thursday, May, 3, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Leonardo Tayamo Jr. Cremation with interment in Indian Head Cemetery. The family would like to thank the wonderful care givers at Hayes Haven Personal Care Home and the Golden Prairie Nursing Home in Indian Head. If friends so desire contributions to St. Joseph’s R.C.
