On Saturday, October 9, Thomas William Drever of Fort Qu'Appelle, SK passed away at the age of 103 years.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, brothers-in-law and his wife Marjorie.
Tom is survived by his children: Don (Lynne) Drever, Heather (Walter) Duncan and Grant (Gloria) Drever, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.
Tom was born on the family farm July 13, 1918. He survived the Spanish Flu epidemic and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1939 with a degree from the College of Agriculture in Animal Husbandry. He purchased his first quarter of land in 1942 and farming became his career. He married Marjorie (Marnie) White in 1946 and enjoyed 61 years of marriage, raised three children and retired to Fort Qu'Appelle in 1989. Tom's involvement in the livestock industry was recognized with a Saskatchewan Livestock Association honour scroll in 1995. He also attended the College of Agriculture reunion in 2019 in his 100th year and was recognized as the first 80-year graduate from the College. Retirement years were spent travelling, visiting family and friends and enjoying the beauty of Saskatchewan. Tom's life was long, full of love, laughter, and good health.
A private family service was held with Reverend Jo Mader officiating.
