Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 5 at 2:00 p.m. in the Valley Alliance Church, Fort Qu’Appelle, with Pastor Mark Lockett officiating. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery.
Viola is predeceased by her parents William and Martha Proctor, Sussex, New Brunswick; husband William Gall; sister Irene and husband George O’Neil; brother Philip Proctor and wife Ruby; brother Murray and wife Elizabeth; brother Russel and wife Florence; sister Clara Buchanan and husband Ora; sister Alice and brother-in-law Earl Mitton.
Viola is survived by her brother Nelson Proctor and his wife Lee; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Viola was born in Millbrook, New Brunswick on July 30, 1925. After graduating from high school in 1944, Viola taught school in Millbrook until 1946. In that year she married William (Bill) Gall of Ernfold, Saskatchewan.
Viola enjoyed working with young people and was involved in many activities with them over the years. Viola enjoyed many hobbies including skiing, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Viola was a charter member of the Valley Alliance Church of Fort Qu’Appelle. She was very active in her church and considered prayer a very important part of her life. Even in her 80’s Vi was the one who volunteered to teach the Junior Sunday School class. Vi enjoyed helping her husband with his business as well as visiting and helping seniors.
A special thank you to the staff and volunteers of the Balcarres Integrated Care Centre in Balcarres, and to the doctors and nurses who took such good care of her at the General and Pasqua Hospitals.
