The family of Wayne Thompson, late of Indian Head, is sad to announce his passing on Friday, September 22, 2017 due to complications of Parkinson's Disease. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Mae Thompson of Amulet, SK and his mother and father-in-law, Vince and Margaret McCulloch of Indian Head. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Naidene, daughter Kimberley (Eric) of Virden, MB and his three grandsons, Connor, Seth, and Joel all of whom lit up his life. He is also survived by sisters Wanda Thompson of Weyburn and Colleen (Art) Enns of Avonlea, and his sisters and brothers-in-law Muriel (Frank) Dunnigan of Edmonton, Janet (Antti) Hannula of Parry Sound, ON, Marcia Reddacliff of Calgary and Garth McCulloch of Lacombe and Janine Borger, also of Lacombe AB. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, and he treasured each and every one. Wayne spent his entire working career of 39 years with SaskPower, retiring in 1996. He and Naidene then indulged their love of vacations in Arizona with friends and traveling to various destinations including a river cruise in Europe followed by time in Normandy, France. He especially enjoyed trailering to Alaska and the Maritimes with the "Trailer Trash Crew". An Anglian celebration of Wayne's life will be held in St. Andrew's United Church, Indian Head, SK on Saturday, October 7 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Blair Dixon presiding. Cremation with interment in All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Katepwa, SK at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Wayne's memory to the Indian Head and District Hospital Foundation, Box 1547, Indian Head, Sask., S0G 2K0.
