Barbara Marx Lacher

Barb was a beloved wife, mom, grandma, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend, and she will be profoundly missed. She poured her heart into her family, spending her time creating a loving home. She was a remarkable cook and entertainer, had a laugh that was recognizable from a mile away, and lit up every room she entered. Barb loved deeply and radiated warmth and joy. Often referred to as the family matriarch, her legacy of love and generosity will live on in our hearts and in our homes.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Beverly and Raymond Marx, and her brother, Michael Marx.

She is survived by her husband John, son Zach, daughter Brennan (Jason), son Jake (Dalton), grandchildren Dawsen, Finley, siblings Victoria (Chris), Linda, Lori, Scott (Christy), brother-in-law Jeff (Mary), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and of course, her dogs (Charlie, Pippy).

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, at the Lake Elmo Inn Event Center, 3712 Layton Ave N, Lake Elmo, MN.

The Celebration of Life will be open-house style, with memories and tributes to be shared by family during the last hour.
