She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Michael Wiener; parents, Edwin & Harriet Peterson; and sister, Beverly Friedberg. She is survived by brother, Richard Peterson; sister, Geraldine Rossow; her children, Mark (Julie), Julie (Steve) Von Schmidt, Michael; and grandchildren: Leigh Ann, Rachel, Ethan, Lauren, Micah, Luke, Collin.
Barbara's Christian faith was the foundation of how she conducted her life and raised her children.
Barbara had a strong work ethic and was passionate about her children's education. While busy raising a family, she took college course work which assisted her to have a successful career in the healthcare industry.
Barbara's interests included: travel, fine arts, theater, taking walks, volunteering at church, supporting her husband, and being actively involved in her children's lives.
She was an devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother.
Funeral services for Barbara will be held at 1PM on Thursday, 2/03/22 at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home (2195 Woodlane Dr., Woodbury, MN) with a visitation from 11AM to 1PM. Interment at Union Cemetery in Maplewood, MN.
Memorials preferred to the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance.
