She was born October 8, 1942 in Jackson Michigan to the late Gerald and Angeline (Jenkins) Dixon. She graduated from Stockbridge High School and worked many years for Ma Bell and AT&T before retiring in 1999.
Carol loved her family, Zumba friends, quilting group friends and her friends at the Unity Unitarian Church. Carol enjoyed researching her family history and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She also enjoyed traveling and her trips to Europe, Mexico and South America where she especially enjoyed the Aztec and Inca Ruins. She will be remembered as a strong independent woman with a warm heart, direct approach to life and willingness to give to others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Theresa Paulsen and her sister Marilyn White.
Carol is survived by her son Brent Wetzel (Cindy) grandkids Beau Paulsen (Ashlea), Alyssa Wetzel, John Wetzel and Zachary Wetzel, great grandchildren, Haven and Prince Wetzel and Crosby and Cohen Paulson. Sister Darlene Wahr, nephews and nieces, David, Philip, Beth, Daniel, and Debbie.
The family would like to thank the staff at Woodbury Senior Living, St. John’s Hospital - Maplewood doctors and especially Nurse Bridget for all of their support and love shown throughout her stay.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 15th from 1-4 pm at Forbes United Methodist Church, 33 Grove Street Proctor MN. Carol's burial will be next to her mother and father in Munith MI at a later date.
