Carol F. Parke, 93, of Woodbury, died on Monday, July 13, 2020. Loving and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Born in Grand Forks, ND, she lived most of her life in St. Paul.

After many years as a full-time homemaker Carol returned to work, eventually retiring from the State of MN. She volunteered throughout her life as everything from a Bluebird leader to deliverer of Meals on Wheels. She was an active member at Hazel Park Congregational United Church of Christ, including serving as president of the Women’s Fellowship, and later at Arlington Hills Presbyterian Church.

She was talented at embroidery, baking, and sewing, loved to read, and was a life-long learner, taking many classes, attending numerous Elderhostels, and even learning to play the piano after she retired. She never lost her sense of humor or spirit of fun.

With her husband of more than 50 years, Carol traveled extensively in the U.S. and Canada, often camping, and also to the U.K. and Ireland. Her last major trip was to Norway with her daughters.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Leonard; son-in-law John; brother Jerome (Sylvia); sister Ora (Gordon); and brother-in-law Floyd.

She is survived by daughters June Albrecht, Stacy (Mark) Sturm, and Catherine (Robert) Glunz; grandchildren Aila (Damon Curtin) Albrecht, Hannah Albrecht, Rachel (Matthew) Johnson, Jesse (Ambre) Sturm, Megan (Jacob Gonsior) Sturm, Nolan Glunz, and Evan Glunz; great-grandchildren Shay, Alyssa, Ty, Jameson, Orion, Kailey, and Taylor; sister Joan; and other family and friends.

Due to Covid-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials preferred to Alzheimer’s Association or Stonecrest Employee Appreciation Fund.
