
Craig was a proud Navy veteran having served in the Vietnam as a Jet Engine Mechanic Third Class (ADJ3) on Crew 3 of the VO-67 Ghost Squadron, a covert mission which was disbanded in 1968 and declassified in 1998. Craig received multiple citations during his four years of service, including the Navy Air medal, the Presidential Unit Citation for his time with VO-67, the Marine Corps Combat Air Crew WIngs, and the Air Force Gallant Unit Citation.
He was a talented artist, volunteering his time and artistic talent to local community and school theater groups. His love of military aircraft led him to volunteer his time to the Commemorative Airforce - Minnesota Wing at Fleming Field in South St. Paul.
Craig is survived by his wife, Debra Aamodt, his son, Richard (Becca), granddaughter Sabrina, and brothers Peter and Darryl.
The family is grateful for the Allina Palliative and Hospice teams, as well as the hospice team at Southview Acres for their compassionate care and support.
Private interment at Union Cemetery, Maplewood, MN. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the OPen Cupboard Food Bank (https://opencupboard.org/)
