Girls Fred I am so sorry you had to go through asuch a devastating loss like this _the world has lost a wonderful sole. And heaven has gained an angel diane had a wonderful quality of making those around her feel good about themselves. I think of you often and miss your sweet sole

Diane was one of the kindest most giving people I have had the privilege of knowing.  You know when you are born you are crying and everyone else is smiling, when you die you are smiling and everyone else is crying. Keep smiling my friend Diane, Iwill miss you. I will honor you by doing acts of kindness.

I met Diane when both of our daughters were attending Royal Oaks Elementary in Woodbury. So we’ve known each other for quite a long time! They were many play dates at Diane’s house, birthday parties and quite a few years  of attending softball games together where we had a great time laughing and talking  and sometimes missed a big chunk of the game, sorry girls!!! Diane and I loved to catch up about two times a year and  would see a movie at Woodbury 10. We would try to find a comedy and I still remember her infectious laugh and giggle and it would make me laugh too. I really liked getting together with her and we could talk for hours! She had a beautiful smile and a really quick wit and wicked sense of humor sometimes! After a movie sometimes we would sit in the lobby for another hour or two and just talk more! She had some really great stories and we had some good belly laughs. I could see from the family and friend photos that she had a very fun life as a kid and as an adult. I will miss her. My deepest condolences for Fred, Jenna, Kayla and family and friends. 

I have a lot of memories, but here is just one of many. When we were growing up in Coon Rapids we would go up north to where my mom grew up. It was a small town called Grygla. There my grandma had café. Her home was on the side of the café, so we would just always go to the café first. That was when my two older sisters (yes I was the baby) would go in the front door and ditch me by going out the back door. When I look back at that I wonder why I got so upset with that. The town only had a population of like 300. Everyone knew everyone. Both Dawn and Di (Diane but we called her Di) were only going to our cousins’ which was just at the other end of the alley. I mean you could practically see the house from the café. They were always trying to pawn me off but they sure did and do love me. They were the only ones who could pick on me. Anyone else that tried got their wrath. 

My most recent memory was the day before my sister passed away. I was at their house and Di was not doing so well. She would sleep more than be awake. But there was one instance when she woke up and wanted to stand, so I gave her my hand. I thought she just wanted to stand. Then I started asking her what she wanted, she just wanted to stand with her little brother and just give me a hug. To the end, she worried more for others than herself. I’m going to cherish that moment forever. I’m going to miss her.
