passed on November 24, 2021, three weeks before her 97th Birthday. Dorothy was born in Minneapolis, MN.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life for 68 years, Wallace (Wally) Christenson; and her parents, Alice and Olaf Benson. She is survived by her sister, Florence Benson. Dorothy was a wonderful mother to Sherry Utgaard, Roger, Dean (Gail), Todd; and grandmother to Chris (Renee), Erica (Matt) Brewinski, Steve, Jason, Jack, Lindsey (Brett), John (Olivia) and six great-grandchildren. Dorothy loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She spent many enjoyable hours with her friends playing bridge, watching sports, and solving puzzles until her final illness.
The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care and kindness of the staff of The Waters of Oakdale. Service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 2, 2021 and Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home. 2195 Woodlane Drive, Woodbury, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to Special Olympics 12RVA, Minnesota, or donor’s choice.
