She is survived by children Rod (Bonnie), Rory, Dan (Shar); Terri (Bruce), Paul (Joanna), Tammy, Erin (Sarah), and Meghan (Kevin); 14 grandchildren; and siblings Edwin (Darlene), Leona (Chuck), Louis and Cindy. Ellen is preceded in death by her husband Thomas, her parents Edward and Rose Wosick, as well as her siblings Clarence, Evelyn and Darlene.
Ellen was a compassionate caregiver first and foremost. As the eldest of seven children, she first rose to the challenge of significant responsibility in caring for her siblings, before then raising her own eight children. Amidst leading her family, Ellen was a nursing assistant as well as the sole proprietor of housecleaning and daycare businesses. She was a sweet and humble woman, always leading by example in expressing kindness, empathy, and unconditional love. Ellen’s favorite moments were during holiday gatherings enjoying smiles, celebrating birthdays, and shared laughter of her loved ones.
Public visitation Monday, February 22 from 9:30-10:30AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (16770 - 13th St. S., Lake Saint Croix Beach, MN). Held in her honor, memorial mass to follow at 10:30AM.
