Formerly of Maplewood. Passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on May 23, 2015. Preceded in death by parents, husband of 53 years Henry P., and 3 siblings. Erma is survived by her sons, James (Marilyn) of Centerville and Scott (Sally) of Woodbury; grandchildren Robert (Lori), Tamara (Bill) Prato, Michael, Katie (Hal) LaFleur, and Ryan; and 6 great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Heinrik Andersen of Mayer, MN and Irene Moir, Dallas, TX. Erma Andersen was born in 1921 in Hutchinson, MN. She moved to Chicago after graduating high school. In 1940, she married Henry P. Juhl in Chicago. Henry and Erma relocated to Minnesota in 1952 to raise their two sons. Erma worked for many years at Schoonovers Bodyworks. After retiring for the first time at age 62, Erma went back to work for more than 21 years at 3M, retiring again at age 86. One not to sit still, Erma began volunteering at Woodwinds Hospital logging over 1000 hours by her 90th birthday. Erma was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many. She enjoyed spending time with family, crossword puzzles and a stiff perfect brandy manhattan. Erma will be remembered for her passionate and feisty spirit, hardworking and competitive nature and love for her family. The family would like to thank the staff at Boutwell's Landing for their dedicated attention and care to Erma these past three years. Funeral Service 11 AM Friday 5/29/15 at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Dr., Woodbury. Visitation 1 hour prior. Interment Roselawn Cemetery. Memorials, if preferred, to Woodbury Peaceful Grove United Methodist Church or Boutwell's Landing.
