Gretchen Ann Helkamp, age 89, born April 15, 1933, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2023.
Survived by her loving family, husband of 67 years, Joseph F. Helkamp; daughter, Catherine DeSutter (Dave); sons, Joseph P. (Lorri) and John (Leanne); 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Gretchen enjoyed knitting, award winning needle point, bridge and Mahjong with her special Redwood friends, reading and audio books.
Gretchen touched all she came in contact with. Her giving and joyful spirit will stay with us and she will always be in our hearts.
The family plans on having a private celebration of life. She will be entombed at Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights. Memorials preferred to the Patrick Schoonover Heart Foundation.
