Halle Marjorie Heggernes was born August 6, 2018 weighing 4 lb 15 oz. Shortly after birth, it was discovered that Halle had a rare genetic condition called mitochondrial disease (Fox Red1) and Leighs syndrome, which is characterized by lesions on her brain that affected her development, growth and ability to function. Throughout Halle’s health struggles, she fought hard through some of the toughest illnesses and hospitalizations. Halle was a strong little girl but it was time for her to be with the Lord and be free of the weights of her disease. Halle was taken into the Lord’s arms just after midnight on Tuesday, August 12, 2020.
Halle was loved by so many people. Her sweet spirit and big beautiful eyes captivated everyone she met. Her beauty was from the inside out and she shined like the brightest little light. She had a full life surrounded by her family and friends. Halle loved the water and spending time outdoors sunbathing, watching Daddy play baseball and taking walks exploring the neighborhood with her family. She loved taking bubble baths with her big brother Mason. Although she wasn’t able to fully participate, she was always in the middle of all of the fun with her cousins and was loved so dearly by all of them. In her time with us, she was lucky to have gone on a couple of trips. Halle went to Arizona with Mama to watch Daddy play ball, as well as a family vacation to Orange Beach, Alabama for Thanksgiving with her Daddy’s side of the family with lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins on the beach. Halle had an unmeasurable impact on everyone she met. The memories that we had with our sweet Hal Gal in the time we had with her will always be a part of all of us forever. The beauty of Halle is that she will live on inside all of us, that is her gift. We truly believe she was an angel in the flesh, here for a short time but not meant for this earth. There is peace in knowing that she is no longer suffering from her illness, but able to walk, run, smile, giggle, and play with her big beautiful curls bouncing behind her in heaven.
