She was a great friend and neighbor, enjoyed a glass of wine on her cul-de-sac, book club and cabin trips with her friends. She retired from her role of Office Manager at Frattalone Paving in St. Paul, MN in 2015 after 20 years. Her meticulous nature made her excellent at accounts and bookkeeping.
Born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Jeanne grew up surrounded by loving parents and a village of extended family. She married Mark McCann and together they raised daughters, Lisa and Laurie. Family meant everything to Jeanne and she made sure that the girls grew up in the same loving environment she did, spending countless hours with grandparents, aunts and uncles.
She loved a good project and spent many hours on creative pursuits, creating and sharing family traditions. She did everything well and threw her head back when she laughed which was often. She loved attending the events and sporting activities of her daughters and grandsons. If you were doing something, she was there to support you.
Sundays at Grandmas for fried bread and coffee, new pajamas for Easter and flowers from the yard next to your bedside are among the many thoughtful and fun legacies that will forever be lovingly remembered. She was a terrific cook and baker, had a love for gardening and a keen eye for creating beautiful spaces. Her home was an inviting place where all were welcome.
Her memory will be celebrated for all our days. Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Rita Goulet. Survived by her sisters Karen Schwenk and Mary Ellen Winrich (Don) of Eau Claire, WI., sister-in-law, Brenda Halverson (Greg) of Altoona, WI, her daughters Lisa Newmark (Eric), Laurie Crowell (Britt) and grandsons Ben Crowell and Connor Crowell all of Woodbury, MN.
Plans for a celebration of Jeanne’s life later this summer will be announced.
