Joyce Arlene was born August 29,1938 in Amery, Wisconsin to Alf and Amanda Rude. Joyce lived in various locations in Wisconsin before graduating from Stillwater High School in 1956. After attending St. Paul Bible College for 2 years, Joyce worked briefly at 3M before marrying the love of her life, Roger, in September 1965. Joyce treasured her role as stay-at-home mom with her 4 children. She later worked at Ecolab and retired after 13 years.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 55 years, Roger, their four children, a step-son, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Shirley, her brothers Ardelle and Roger preceding her in death.
Joyce leaves a wonderful legacy of four children and 13 grandchildren who continue to walk in the Lord, over whom she taught and persisted in prayer. 3 John 1:4 “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”
Joyce treasured her family and expressed her love for them in the delicious meals she prepared and the way she worked hard to create special memories and traditions for her family. She shared her love for Jesus, nature, bird-watching and looking for all types of wildlife, sewing and knitting with her children and grandchildren. She daily contended in prayer for her family and the nation. She was beautiful inside and out and the love of her Savior shone brightly through her.
