Karen Elisabeth Ovadia

She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Henry, parents Olav and Elisabeth, and 3 siblings: Kjell, Kari, and Ingebørg.

She is survived by her two children, Noreen Ovadia Wills (Nick Wills) and Cliff Ovadia. Her grandchildren Marit Nuutinen, Nicholas Wills, and Jackson Ovadia had the joy of spending many days and hours with her. She was devoted to her Norwegian nieces and nephews, calling each one on their birthdays.

Karen was a devoted wife, loving mom and MorMor (grandmother), amazing secretary, and astounding family navigator on her family’s many trips around the US and overseas. Karen loved Norway, her family, traveling, flowers, knitting, crafts, gardening and baking. Karen was an excellent neighbor and friend. Everyone loved Karen and she made many new friends at St Therese where she moved in 2017. There she staged a Syttende Mai party each year, donning her Norwegian Bunad, making an amazing amount of Krumkake and leading everyone in the singing of the Norwegian National Anthem.

Karen’s memory will live on through her kindness, generosity and the memories we all have of her.

A visitation will be held at Woodbury Lutheran Church - Valley Creek Campus, located at 7380 Afton Rd, Woodbury, MN, 55125, on January 28, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Celebration of Life will follow at the same venue from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
