

Kathleen "Kate" Jackson Beloved wife of Barry Jackson, loving mother of Meghan (Eric) Olson and Adam Jackson and loving grand-mother to Henry Olson. Passed away peacefully in her home on April 10, 2010. Preceded in death by her father, S.J. DeWitt. Kate will be greatly missed by her mother, Audrey DeWitt; brother, Gary DeWitt; sister, Angie (Ken) Parsons; nephew, Eric Parsons and many caring relatives and friends in the United States, Canada and Great Britain. Kate graduated from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, SD and completed her Masters in Education at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN. She began her teaching career in Sydney, Australia and, after returning to the United States, continued teaching high school students in Wisconsin and Minnesota. After many successful years in the classroom, Kate accepted a position at Education Minnesota, focusing her dedication on students and teachers. Most recently, Kate was Director of Field Services at Education Minnesota. Kate travelled extensively with family and friends, exploring many countries and cultures. Kate enjoyed spending time with her large network of friends, playing bridge and golf, and driving her red convertible to the cabin. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to MOCA, Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance, wwwmnovarian.org. Visitation Thur. April 15th from 4-8 p.m. at WULFF Woodbury Funeral Chapel 2195 Woodlane Drive in Woodbury. Funeral Service Fri.
