LaVon was born in Braham, Minnesota on May 31, 1932. She grew up in Minneapolis where she graduated from Edison High School in 1950. She married Joseph Halfen in 1952 and shared nearly 70 years with him until his death in 2022.
LaVon was a wonderful mom, grandma, and great-grandma and will be greatly missed by her children, Lynn Wyman (Alan), Joe Halfen (Debbie), Barb Oman (Terry), Dan Halfen (Pam), Tony Halfen (Sarah); 12 grandchildren and their spouses; 22 great-grandchildren and spouse; and her brother Wayne Erickson (Barb).
LaVon was preceded in death by her husband Joe, three grandchildren, and her brother Delor.
Mass of Christian Burial Monday, June 22 at 11:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 4125 Woodbury Drive, Woodbury. Visitation one hour prior to the mass at the church.
Internment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
