After graduating from St. Olaf College, Marilyn became a teacher and dedicated 25+ years to teaching English at Hazel Park Junior High School. Marilyn loved flowers, reading, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed sewing in her early years and painting in acrylic in her recent years. Most of all her love for her Lord and savior is her legacy. She would spread Gods word at every turn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Thelma Swenson; brothers, Stanley, Jerald, and Orville; husbands Richard and Dennis; granddaughter Evelyn Jents; and sister-in-law, Lois Swenson.
She is survived by her children, Randall and Terri; her two grandchildren, Matthew and Phillip; sister-in-law Sandy; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Dr, Woodbury, MN 55125, on August 29 at 11:00 am.
