Marjorie Northup (Knoer), age 99 passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2020 at her home in Woodbury, Minnesota with her niece Cheryl by her side.
Marjorie was born April 30, 1921 in Rodman, Iowa to Leo and Nellie (Town) Knoer. She graduated from Rodman High School before attending A1B College of Business in Des Moines, Iowa. She later moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where she worked for Wood Conversion for many years. She married Jack Northup and after his passing she later married Walter Lewis.
Marjorie lived life to the fullest. She was an avid traveler, golfer, skier, tennis player (until age 87) and was in many card clubs. She appreciated her family and many friendships.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents: Leo and Nellie; brother: Richard Knoer; step-daugher: Margid (Lewis) Ryan and by her husbands: Jack Northup and Walter Lewis. Marjorie is survived by her brother: George (Thelma) Knoer; step-son: Mark (Kathy) Lewis; nieces: Debbie (Terry) Meyer, Cheryl Benson, Diane Avery, Cindy Knoer, Lisa Knoer and Kathy Gardner. She is also survived by many extended family members.
Due to Covid-19, a Celebration of Life will be held at The Eastern Heights Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minnesota at a later date.
