

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Matthew James Quist age 47, on April 30, 2025. Matt was a devoted husband to Desiree and a loving father to their two beautiful daughters, Addie and Lexi. His absence leaves an unimaginable void in the lives of those who knew and cherished him.
Matt’s passion for helping others began with his interest in Law Enforcement. He dedicated many years to serving as a Roseville Reserve Officer. During his time at law enforcement school, he worked security at Fairview, where he met Desiree. They built a life filled with love and happiness together. Matt’s love for his daughters was unwavering, and he would do anything to protect and support them. They were his little angels, and they had him wrapped around their little finger.
His compassionate nature led him to pursue a career in nursing. He found immense joy and fulfillment in his work, and he loved every aspect of it.
Matt was renowned for his kindness, strength, and profound love for his family. He worked tirelessly to provide a joyful life for Desiree and their daughters. His presence brought warmth, laughter, and happiness to everyone around him.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 10 years, Desiree; their two beautiful daughters, Addie and Lexi; his parents, Dede Anderson and Wayne Gebbie; his sister, Kelly (Rick) Boone; his in-laws, Nancy (Jeff) Bell; his sister-in-law, Nicole Austin; his niece and nephew, Keira and Orion; his furry companions, Vader, Zoey, and Bailey; and many other family and friends.
Matt was preceded in death by his father, Steven Quist; his grandfather, James “Bompa” Anderson; his uncle, Mark Anderson; his grandparents, Merle and Rodney Quist, and his aunt, Debbie Quist.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Eagle Brook Church in Apple Valley. The visitation will commence at 11:00 am.
