Michael David Strong

Born on November 24, 1950, in Billings, Montana, Michael spent his life as a devoted father, loyal brother, and steadfast friend. He was someone who made life better simply by being part of it.

A skilled craftsman by trade, Mike worked as a watchmaker, jeweler and later brought that precision and dedication to his work at Medtronic. He was known for his steady presence, his loyalty to those he loved, and his willingness to help anyone who needed him.

Mike is survived by his children Laura (Scott), Shannon (Brian), and Josh (Darah); his brothers Bruce (Vicki) and Okley (Christine) and sister Patricia (Tom); his grandchildren Gavin, Kyle, Daniel, Rebekah, Annika, Xander, and Greyson; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Dale and Betty Strong, and his brother William “Bill”.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 16 at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 1583 Radio Drive, Woodbury, Minnesota with doors opening at 6:30 PM and the service beginning at 7:00 PM. A dessert reception will follow the service at the church. In the spirit of Mike's penchant for Hawaiian shirts and his gift for finding joy in the everyday, the family warmly invites guests to wear Hawaiian-themed attire in his honor.

Mike will be deeply missed and warmly remembered.
