Richard "Dick" Hewitt

Of Woodbury

Passed away peacefully at his home on August 7, 2013, surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Laurel. After 39-years of employment with 3M he and Laurel had a full life spending time with family, friends, playing golf and traveling. After Laurel's passing, he continued his quest to enjoy life with Bonnie. He often worked out with the "gang" at Lifetime and served in many other volunteer positions. He is survived by his children, Julie (Randy) Kohrs, Michael (Kim) Hewitt, and Timothy (Julie) Hewitt; lovingly known as "Papa" to eight grandchildren, Kaleigh, Scott, and Emily Kohrs, Joshua and Elisha Hewitt, Kaelyn, Kiera and Kendall Hewitt. He is also survived by his dear partner, Bonita DuFresne; her children and our friends, John (Mary) DuFresne, Shannon (Dan) Ostertag and Joel DuFresne and their children; his sisters, Ruth Ellen Isenbarger and Carolyn Rogers; brother, Dale Hewitt; sister-in-law, Martha Lines; and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial Service 11:00am, Saturday, Aug. 10 at Woodbury Lutheran Church, 7380 Afton Rd., Woodbury, with visitation from 10-11am at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Woodbury Lutheran Church.
