Although we only met briefly I admire and thank Dick for his dedication and compassion to the city of Woodbury. I mostly want to thank Dick for all the fond memories and smiles he brought to the face and heart of my dear friend and mentor Jean.

 Jean, I miss you, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone celebrating Dick's great life.

Dick, It was a pleasure to take care of you.  I know you will be greatly missed by all.  Tricia ( nurse at St. Joe's hospital)

Dick was a wonderful man who I enjoyed working with and getting to know. He will be missed by all. The community lost a great servant.

Dear Bruce, Pam and Jeanne.   We were sad to hear about your father's passing.  We both worked many years with Dick as Treasurer and then later as Commissioner.  He always expected us to know the answers and we always quizzed ourselves before presenting ideas.  He was a Commissioner who cared about the public, but also the employees of Washington County.  He will be truly missed.

I am so sad to learn of Mr. Stafford's death. I worked for him from 05/01/95 until he became Washington County Commissioner in 1999. He will always be my favorite "boss," and I left the Auditor/Treasurer's Office when he did. I have much respect for him and will deeply miss his presence in Washington County.

Mr. Stafford will be greatly missed by many, many people. My heart is breaking knowing he has passed. I love you, Mr. Stafford.

Pam, Bruce and Elaine,

Was sad to hear of Dick's passing. My condolences. I have fond memories of the days and nights that Dick and I spent on forming and running the Ambulance Council and working together on Lions Club Projects. While we did not always see eye to eye I think we did make a prety good team. 

Have missed seeing him over the years since I left Woodbury, but I still remember his jokes and think of him when I recall the growth days of Woodbury.

May he rest in Peace.
