Age 89

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on July 13, 2010. Bob had a lifetime commitment to scouting and youth through his involvement with the BSA and in his career with Ramsey County Corrections. Among his many accomplishments in life were: Eagle Scout, BS, MS Forestry U of M, Captain US Army WWII South Pacific. Bob was a visionary in the founding of the environmental organization, MECCA, longtime Scoutmaster of Troop 71 of Woodbury, founder of the College of Wilderness Knowledge and the Eagle's Nest Program. Preceded in death by wife, Catharine. Survived by children, Nancy (Dan) McGuiness, Scott (Pat), Mark (Kathy), Mitch (Shannon); grandchildren; great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Marie); and many dear friends. Funeral service 11AM Saturday, 7/17/10, at WOODBURY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 7465 Steepleview Rd., Woodbury. Visitation 5-8PM Friday at WULFF WOODBURY FUNERAL HOME, 2195 Woodlane Drive, Woodbury and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Woodbury United Methodist Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Pine Bend Scout Club Foundation.
