Robert L. Uzpen

Robert (Bob) L. Uzpen, age 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 4, 2022. He was born April 2, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN. Bob grew up in South St. Paul with loving parents Gabor and Gerta Uzpen and sister, Florence. Bob attended Cretin High School before joining the U.S. Navy. Bob was a proud U.S. WWII Navy veteran and husband to beautiful wife Anna Mae. They proceeded to have eight children.

For 46 years Bob worked as a driver/supervisor for MTC bus company. He retired from the bus company in 1992 and lived the remainder of his time in Oakdale, MN. The last 15 years Bob spent with special friend Evelyn Hager where they traveled to many places including Alaska and attending Bob’s Navy reunions.

Bob was preceded in death by wife, Anna Mae; daughter, Patricia; son, Robert Jr.; sister, Florence; parents, Gabor and Gerta Uzpen; grandchildren, Tony, Carly and Kaycee; son-in-law, Charles Sutton (Cindy); daughter-in-law, Carole (Jon).

Bob is survived by his children, Mark (Theresa), Jon, Matthew (Wendy), Lisa Stager, Cindy Sutton and JoAnn Novak; 26 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; special friend, Evelyn Hager.

Please join us in celebrating his life. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on February 17, 2022 at Wulff Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Dr., Woodbury. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on February 18, 2022 at Guardian Angels Church, 8260 4th St. N, Oakdale.
