My wife and I just returned to Richland Center after having been away for 3 weeks. I was absolutely stunned/shocked to read about Roger's passing as I looked at The Richland Observer last night. I just can't believe it!
Roger was such a tremendous human being. I have so many wonderful memories of both of you, Laurie, when you were students at UW-Richland. Roger and I shared that "huh/what" game, always trying to "get" the other one. He was fun to watch as a basketball player and a solid young man--and you were there to cheer him on all the time.
You and your family have my most sincere sympathy. I am just dumbfounded. Please take care ... and know your wonderful life with him means you have many wonderful memories. When I think of him--even now--I smile.

Laurie and family: I am in Florida for the winter and just read about Roger. I am so sorry for your loss. Still remember the guys going to DC. You and I were claiming the same scripture, Psalm 91. We didn't know it until they returned safe and sound. It's been almost 8 years since Harv went to be with our Lord and I still miss him every day. My saving grace is that I know he's happier now than he's ever been and I'll be with him again someday. God bless you all. Dianne

So very sorry to learn of Roger's passing. Certainly gone too soon. My most sincere sympathy to all the family. Though you will miss him now, you have the comfort of knowing you will all be together in time to come. I remember especially Roger's great sense of humor.

I remember Roger when he'd come to a potluck and he would bring in a large roaster and there was twinkies in the roaster.
I also remember when you all first came to Gospel in Sparta and Roger came and helped with taking down that old room off our old mobile home, he came to help and didn't even know us then , he was always a great example to myself and many others.
It was truly a great privilege to serve with him .

Please accept my condolences. Roger and I met while working originally at Badgerland now Compeer. Though we were not in close proximity within our Organization, when I had the opportunity to visit or work directly with Roger, he always had a smile and a kind word to share. That is how he will be remembered.
