Russell Orin Bentley

Born to Wallace R. and Lillian (Yechout) Bentley, Russell served proudly in the U.S. Army. After his retirement from active service, Russ continued to serve other veterans in his position as an ATS Technician at the Minneapolis V.A. Medical Center in Minneapolis. Russell was extremely active in the Woodbury VFW and American Legion posts where he served as a distinguished Honor Guard for fellow veterans. Russell met his loving wife, Carolyn, while working together at the Sears warehouse on Lake Street in Minneapolis. Their love story lasted for 37 years. Russell loved to fish, golf, play cribbage, and keep his vehicles and flowers meticulously attended. Russell was adored by virtually everyone that had the pleasure of calling him uncle or friend. His laugh and gentle nature will never die in their hearts.

Russell is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carolyn; brothers David (Mary) and Neil (Barbara); sisters Sandy (William) and Julie (David); stepbrother Richard Osborne, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Wulff Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Dr., Woodbury, MN 55125. Interment will immediately follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Carolyn Bentley.
