To the Heitkamp family...
Today is the day to celebrate Sandy's life. Please know I will be with you's in spirit for I could not make it back home to Minnesota. Try not to cry for the loss, but to smile for all the good times, and wonderful memories we shared with her. Sandy was a beautiful person inside, and out. She has touched my life in many ways. I had the privledge of working with her, and enjoyed many Heitkamp family functions. I will never forget the day when my mother passed, and Sandy was comforting me, and wispered in my ear... "I am your mama now!" I have always felt apart of the Heitkamp family I love & miss you guys with all my heart!

Grandma,
You were the strongest women I know. You put everyone first and you never let anyone down. You were always there for me when I needed someone to talk to. You always knew how to make me laugh when I was sad. We had some of the greatest memories anyone could have with there Grandma. You were like my best friend. & no one could replace you. You were a good mother, friend, grandmother, wife, and sister. I love you Sooo much. Keep watching me grandma

Sandy was an extraordinary woman, mother,grandma,great grandma,wife, & friend to all who knew and loved her. I will always remember her like a second mom growing up and spending time at the Hietkamp home. I will always remember the laughter and even drama that she had to bail us out of or pick us up from... Kelli, not feeling her pulse, or Melinda and Trena wondering home late night.. ketchup on Sandy's hotdish as she sit by watching asking what the heck I was doing to it... It was spicy... lol. we all laughed she never let me live that one down he he. I will miss her and I hope in time you all will find it easier with each day that passes to cope and only remember the good times and laughter

My dearest mother and my best friend oh how I miss you and always will. I always remember you telling me what a great mom I am I can only hope that I am as great as you have and always will be. I know you will always be by my side I can not tell you how  my heat aches to pick up a ringing phone and it will be you. I know these feelings will fade as time goes on. But never will the love that I have for you. Love you Mom always and forever. I will not say goodbye just I will see you later.

Darin, My thoughts and prayers are with you.I lost my mom 11yrs ago.Time heals the pain and leaves the memories of the good times once shared.I still hear her gentle words and see her smile when I need one..Just close your eyes and she will always be there..

grandma you will be missed greatly. we all miss you so much. it is hard to deal with your passing but i know you are in a better place. i love you so much.
