Sherry Jack Mielke

Sherry was born November 20, 1937 to August and Geneva Jack in Cassville, WI, where she grew up. After high school Sherry attended secretarial school and then took a job at International Milling Company in Minneapolis. She married Herbert Howard Mielke in March 1957 and the couple raised their three children in Fridley and Woodbury. While her children were young, Sherry served her community by fostering thirteen infants awaiting adoption. Throughout her life she adventured with family to National Parks in the US and Canada. Following Herb's retirement she enjoyed volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and doing water aerobics at the Woodbury YMCA.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herb and brothers Adrian and Keith. She is survived by her children: Cary (Karen) Mielke, Rachel (Tim) Miejan, and Greg (Colleen) Mielke; grandchildren: Kyle Rashad, Benjamin, Cameron, Marissa, Krysta, and Grant Mielke and great grandchild Lennox Rashad and another on the way.

Funeral service will be Wednesday May 11, 2022 at 11:00 am at Woodbury Lutheran Church, visitation begins at 10:00am, interment to follow at Cottage Grove Cemetery.
