I met you in a booth in the rustic potting shed of Chickadee Cottage. You were romancing the love of your life on your wedding anniversary. Despite it being your special event, you made me your host feel like I was the blessed one. Little did I know how I would follow you and Karen through the years enjoying your friendship and that of your family.
I appreciated your quiet demeanor mixed with your underlying strength that I saw it in the interaction with your family and friends. Man, like a tree is known for the fruit they produce and the environment in which they thrive. You thrived in and attracted God’s simple majestic beauty and the fruit you produced was again simple but none the less sweet.
You will be missed Stan I rejoice knowing where it is that you are walking on streets of gold. I will continue to enjoy your fruit in the form of the family you left behind. Well done, my good and faithful servant.
