Tamera Minh Wisniewski (née Đại) was born in Bến Tre, Việt Nam on October 7, 1955 and immigrated to Minnesota, U.S.A. in 1979. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and devoted wife. Tamera worked for the United States Postal Service for many years until 2010. She has traveled back to Việt Nam several times and enjoyed other destinations, such as Cozumel, Mexico. Tamera was an avid cross stitcher, creating beautiful pieces for her daughter, Jessica, and grandchildren, Nathan, Amelia, and Alison - children of her son, Jimmy, and daughter-in-law, Tiffany. Tamera had defied the odds during her battle with cancer, granting us nearly 20 more years together. We have the care team at MN Oncology in Maplewood to thank for this, as well as continued efforts in cancer treatment research. Tamera leaves behind her husband, Peter, and a large, loving family, some of whom she had sponsored to live here in the U.S. With her kind and generous heart, and beauty inside-and-out, we are truly blessed to have known and loved her.
Tamera will be celebrated by her family on October 7, 2023. Tamera had many friends in the spring of her life, as was reflected by the length of her address book. Due to space restrictions, we ask that friends outside of the family honor Tamera’s memory in their hearts, rather than in person on October 7th, taking this as an announcement of the Earthly loss and Heavenly gain of our dear loved one.
