

A resident of Hugo, Minnesota, died unexpectedly on October 27th, 2016 at the age of 61. Preceded in death by his daughter Courtney Monson, his parents Willard and Carol Winfrey (Duxbury). Survived by wife, Marli; son, Chris (Jennifer); sisters Sue and Nancy; brother Rob (Jill); eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Tim was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on October 8th, 1955 to Carol and Willard Olson. He attended North Saint Paul High School and enlisted in the navy where he obtained his General Education Diploma. Tim, like his dad, was a natural entrepreneur. He worked most of his life in the HVAC service field and most recently worked successfully as an online auction reseller for K-Bid and eBay. He was a devoted father and friend to many. He was an avid sportsman and musician. He was proficient at several instruments such as the mandolin, guitar and his favorite, the harmonica. He often played at local establishments with his musician friends and was known as a skilled and intuitive musician among his listeners. He started several music “jams” which spawned many friendships, musical groups, couples and most importantly, brought closet musicians out of their shell. He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday November 2, 2016 at Envision Event Center (former Prom Center), 484 Inwood Ave N, Oakdale. Interment 11:45AM Thursday November 3, 2016 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials can be delivered to Envision (please deliver to west entrance).
