W. Michael Fort

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Bill Fort. He is survived by wife, Barb; daughter, Wendy; son-in-law, Mark; and granddaughter, Maddy. Mike is also survived by his mother, Gracie and siblings, Randy, Linda, and Lisa along with their families.

Mike graduated from Pleasantville High School, for many years re-enacting the infamous Pleasantville vs. Melcher football game with dear friend Al Core. He also loved the outdoors including so many camping, fishing, and hunting expeditions with good friend Tom Sandmeier and his hunting and fishing buddies from 3M. He and Barb traveled across several states, hiking and exploring.

Some of Mike’s most cherished time was spent with Maddy on cooking and fishing adventures or getting coffee before school. He remains a role model to Wendy, teaching her early that true leadership comes from genuine kindness and caring.
