May 26, 1960 – October 7, 2025
Mickey Bridges passed away unexpectedly on October 7, 2025, at the age of 65. His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Born on May 26, 1960, Mickey dedicated his life to service — to his family, his community, and his country. He spent 38 years working in government service, with a career that included time with both the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management. Mickey was proud of the institutions he served and believed deeply in their missions, especially the protection and stewardship of our natural resources.
In his early years, Mickey worked as a wildland firefighter, a role that shaped much of his life. Even after retiring from full-time work, he remained active in the fire community, continuing to serve during fire seasons. His dedication and expertise were respected by all who worked alongside him.
Mickey was a devoted father to his three children, whom he loved dearly. He was also a proud grandfather, cherishing every moment with his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Outside of work and family, Mickey found great passion in restoring and working on classic cars and motorcycles. Though it was often a challenging pursuit, it was one that gave him a deep sense of accomplishment and personal fulfillment.
He was also an active and valued member of the Three Rivers Lions Club, where he found purpose in serving others. The club’s motto, “We Serve,” was a reflection of Mickey’s own spirit and the way he lived his life — with generosity, compassion, and a strong sense of duty to his community.
Mickey’s sudden passing has been felt deeply by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the lives he touched and the legacy of service and integrity he leaves behind.
He will be deeply missed.
