

Norma Washer Spalding, a dedicated nurse and educator, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025. Born on August 9, 1955, in Fresno, Norma pursued her passion for healthcare with remarkable commitment, earning Associates, Bachelors, and Masters degrees in Nursing.
Throughout her distinguished career, Norma demonstrated exceptional compassion and skill across multiple nursing disciplines. She worked extensively in critical care settings including the burn center and ICU, provided home health services, and spent some time in mental health care. Midway through her professional journey, Norma transitioned to nursing education, ultimately serving as the Director of Nursing Education at Dinuba Adult School, where she inspired and mentored countless future healthcare professionals.
Norma's life was defined by her profound love for her family and her deep connection to her animals. Her nurturing spirit and golden heart touched the lives of many, creating lasting memories for all who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, her son and daughter, grandsons, and a great-grandson. Her legacy also continues through her two sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of friends and extended family.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Norma's memory.
