

Jose and Cresencia Garcia were presented to their precious daughter Phyllis on May, 18, 1925 in Arizona. Her parents migrated to California around the years 1935-1936.
She met the love of her life in the year 1964 and decided to marry Ray Hernandez on September 24,1965. They had a joyful and peaceful life together for several years, up until colon cancer took him into the arms of Jesus.
She had some heartbreaking moments in her life, but she leaned on the Lord for strength and family members to help her get through those difficult times.
She enjoyed listening to music. Vicente Fernandez was one of her favorites. WHen she was able to see she enjoyed crocheting doilies, cooking, and baking. She enjoyed being around family and friends.
Phyllis was predeceased by the love of her life Ray Hernandez, son Joaquin Augustine Hernandez, son Antonio (Tony) Mesa, grandson Antonio Jr., parents Jose and Cresencia Garcia, five brothers and 2 sisters.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her three brothers: Ernie Garcia of Las Vegas, Nevada, Paul M. Garcia of Visalia, California, Jess Garcia of Sacramento, California, as well as her granddaughter and caregiver Rita Payan and family from Visalia, California. Also great-granddaughter, nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces and friends.
