Refujio P. Jimenez passed away in his home on June 16, 2010, at the age of 88, surrounded by his family. He was known to many as a humorous charismatic hard working man, known to many as Don Cuco. He was born in Moyahua, Zacatecas Mexico on February 13, 1922 to Juan & Marianita Jimenez. He came to the United States in 1945 settling in Woodlake. Refujio worked as a farm laborer for over 50 years supporting his family. At age 55, he remarried to Consuelo Lopez Jimenez his wife of 33 years and had four children: Consuelo Nieto, Marianita Arrizon, Refujio Jimenez III, and Angelica Jimenez.
An addition to the children from his previous marriage: Lola Gonzalez, Carmen Zacarias, Marianne Gonzalez, Margarita Garcia, Lupe Cunningham, Manuel Jimenez, Refujio Jimenez II, Jose Jimenez, Reyes Jimenez, and Santos Jimenez. He is preceded in death by his parents Juan & Marianita Jimenez, his son Refujio Jimenez II, and his two grandchildren Ray Jimenez and Jacob Cunningham.
The Holy Rosary will be prayed at St. Frances Cabrini Church on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, 6:00 p.m. with Mass of Catholic burial on Wednesday, June 23rd, 9:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini. Burial will be at Woodlake District Cemetery
VISITATION: Tuesday, June 22nd, noon to 5 p.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel,Woodlake
