Trim Road, Navan, County Meath, Ireland
August 6, 1946 – June 15, 2025
Ann Curran, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on the evening of Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born and raised on Trim Road in Navan, County Meath, Ann was known for her fun-loving spirit, generous heart, and a personality that made everyone feel welcome. She had an infectious laugh and a deep love for her family, friends, and community. To know her was to love her.
She emigrated to America in the 1970s, and spent most of her life in Woodside, Queens, NY, and her last few years Blairstown, NJ with her son Francis and his family.
Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Kieran, her loving children Francis and Allyson, her cherished daughter-in-law Veronica, and her adored grandchildren Saoirse, Declan, Liam, and Seamus, who all brought her endless joy. She is also lovingly remembered and missed by her brother Micheal Murray, sister-in-law Mairead, and her nephews Ian, Neil, and Graham and the extended Murray and Curran families. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William and Ellen Murray.
Ann passed away on Father’s Day—a poignant and meaningful time. She missed her own father dearly, who died just three months after the birth of her son. It is fitting and beautiful that she joined him on this special day.
Ann faced dementia with grace and strength since 2021, supported throughout by the unwavering love of her husband Kieran and her family and friends. Even in illness, her kindness and humor still managed to shine through.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, both in Ireland and here in America.
