Anthony R. DiPippo, of Astoria, NY, passed away on April 2, 2024. He was born in Queens, NY on January 20, 1934, to the late Anthony and Stephanie (Cusumano) Di Pippo. Known as Tony, "Sir Buzzer" and "Brow" by his friends, he was well-loved and respected by all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his beloved son Anthony, brothers Vincent and John, and his sister-in-law Geraldine “Jean” Di Pippo. He is survived by his wife, Margaret “Madge” (nee Rennie); son, Michael Di Pippo; daughter, Joann (Eugene) Li; two adoring grandchildren, Stephanie and Teresa; sister-in-laws Joan Campbell and Rita Di Pippo (nee Locorotondo); his "brother" Ernie D'Addario; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
After his service in the Army as an Intelligence Officer, Tony worked for the Bonds clothing company for 30 years, where he met his wife Madge. They raised their three children in Astoria where he was devoted to his family and community as a coach, fundraiser, and Eucharistic Minister at St. Rita RC Church. After many years in direct marketing and a brief stint as an entrepreneur, he landed at PDC where he made lasting friendships with some of the greatest guys in the world. He was the best Dad, Pop Pop, and friend to all.
Visiting hours at Conway Funeral Home, 41-45 58th Street, Woodside, NY 11377 on Thursday, April 4th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Rita RC Church, 36-25 11th Street, Long Island City, NY 11106. He will be laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton
