

Audrey was predeceased by her son Frederick Johnson, sisters Ella Campbell and Hortense Pressey, brother George Johnson, brother in-law Edward Campbell Sr., niece Yvonne Simms, and nephews William Atkinson and Edward Campbell Jr.
Audrey was remembered by her niece Eloise, and nephews Elmer, Roy, George, Charles, and James, as well as many extended family and friends.
Audrey was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 3 1920, to beloved parents, William A. Johnson and Essie E. Johnson (Jones). She graduated from Girl’s High School in Brooklyn.
Audrey worked in retail as a buyer of fabrics and dresses. She then worked for years in the U.S. Postal Service in NYC, New York as a clerk and union representative, She retired in June of 1985.
Audrey was always a passionate family member who rarely missed family events. Her presences and engaging conversation was a mainstay for all of us. Audrey would always keep us up to date on topics ranging from New York City politics to the latest tabloid scandals, and took lots of time to inquire about how we were doing. Audrey had a great sense of humor, and was kind, generous, and caring.
Audrey also liked shopping and dining out. She was very independent and always on the move well into her 80s.
Our dear Aunt Audrey will surely be missed.
