

Bessie was always a very quiet young woman who preferred staying home, cleaning, cooking and taking care of her younger siblings. She loved church. Bessie later married Mr. Willie Kemp where they were blessed with two daughters, Myrtis Kemp Tanner, who preceded her in death in 2001, and Annette Kemp.
Bessie moved to NYC in the late 50's where she worked as a housekeeper. Bessie was an excellent cook, and loved caring for all her family. After moving to NY, she started going to Mt. Gerizim Holy Church in Corona, NY and continued through her life in the Apostolic church. After moving to Astoria, she attended lighthouse church, under elder F.D. Wills.
Bessie is survived by her daughter Annette Kemp, one sister, Susie Clark of Thomson, GA, 5 grandchildren: Jada Kemp, Jamilla Isaac, Maurice Isaac, Michael Isaac and Janiya Isaac. Son-in-Law Miguel Isaac, Goddaughter Shaquasia Rogers, and host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and friends and a very special caregiver Sharidai Reed of L.I.C.
We love you Bessie, but God loved you best.
The funeral arrangement will be held at Thomas M. Quinn & Sons Funeral Home.
